Symphony 808, a new work by Emmy-nominated composer and multi-platinum producer, Anthony Barfield, melds classical music and hip hop beats, bringing two different cultures together to create an innovative new form.

Anthony Barfield, composer of Symphony 808 is renowned for his lyrical writing style and has been commissioned by organizations such as The New York Philharmonic, Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts, with performances by The Minnesota Orchestra and The Toronto Symphony. Anthony founded a music production company, Velocity Music Inc that has produced music for artists such as Chris Brown and Young M.A with additional production for artists signed to record labels such as Atlantic and Interscope Records. He is also a former trombonist and a teaching artist for Grammy-award-winning producer Phil Ramone's Children's Orchestra. Anthony holds degrees in trombone performance from the Juilliard School and Manhattan School of Music and is a faculty member at Boston Conservatory at Berklee.
